It's OK 04:18
VERSE We didn’t have the happy ending, We barely had the fairy tale. Most days I found myself pretending, Most nights you knew that we would fail... “Trying to work it out” was over; We passed that crossroads long ago. Though I remained the faithful lover, With you I knew it wasn’t so... We did what-we had to do to spare ourselves the pain; Our lives were clearly never meant to stay this way. So we took the good times and threw away the bad. (The) Strange thing about it is I’m really not that sad... CHORUS I feel fine And you feel fine So I guess it’s OK, it’s OK You’ll be alright I’ll be alright And so it’s OK, it’s OK VERSE Now I don’t wanna leave you thinking That we were just a waste of time. There were alot of happy moments, And those are things I’ll keep safe in my mind. We did what we had to do, and that’s the way it was; Anyone could see that we’d had just about enough, (But) All our bad memories will fade after awhile, We’ll still have the good times, the one’s that made us smile... CHORUS I feel fine And you feel fine So I guess it’s OK, it’s OK You’ll be alright I’ll be alright And so it’s OK, it’s OK BRIDGE We both wanted to be free Some things just weren't meant to be CHORUS I feel fine And you feel fine So I guess it’s OK, it’s OK You’ll be alright I’ll be alright And so it’s OK, it’s OK

VERSE: Used to be We were just like a family w/different moms (and) I knew when I was weak you'd help to keep me strong (It was) Kind of like the stories (beat) you go pay to see Nowadays It's like I had no point or purpose in your life (When I) See you shinin' you never want to share the light (All I) Wanted was to be there for you like you [were] for me Seems you don't agree CHORUS: So baby why are you th'owin' shade my way Don't know what to do or what to say I was hoping that you hadn't changed But I know how people do (Still I) ain't expect this from you Shade, Shade, Shade... VERSE: I don't need To know how far along you are in your career I know what you've been up to and from what I hear It looks like you are on your grind, it's true What I want To know is how you think that you can turn it out I know where you came from and what you're all about You tried it, flipped it, then played us all for fools CHORUS: So baby why are you th'owin' shade my way Don't know what to do or what to say I was hoping that you hadn't changed But I know how people do (Still I) ain't expect this from you Shade, Shade, Shade... BRIDGE: Guess I put too much trust in ya But now I'm fed up I don't have to take this anymore Time do go on and do my thing Got new songs to sing S'not a problem walking out that door INTERLUDE CHORUS: So baby why are you th'owin' shade my way Don't know what to do or what to say I was hoping that you hadn't changed But I know how people do (Still I) ain't expect this from you

VERSE Hey girl, What you doin out here this late? You should be at home with your man; Why you're here, I don't understand really... Hey girl, Don't wanna see you cryin' like that; Come on let's take a walk for awhile, Figure out what's makin' you feel this way. Now you say girl That your man is treating you wrong; You never know when he's comin home, And most of the time you're all alone. Well OK girl. I see your point, but does he know All the things that I now know Because you simply told me so? CHORUS Even though I'm not your man, and I don't live your life I understand that no man born can read your mind. If you want to work things out, then tell him how you feel. Just talk to him, don't let the man keep on living blind... Now I know When things just aren't meant to work out, But it doesn't seem like that to me based on what I know and see in you. And you know That your love runs deeper for him Than any other man that you've tried, And that's something you just cannot hide But we know That if you really want things to change, You both need to stop playing games. Now I'm not tryina place any blame, But who knows, Maybe there is something you did To make him go on acting like this But you're gonna have to talk about it CHORUS Even though I'm not your man, and I don't live your life I understand that no man born can read your mind. If you want to work things out, then tell him how you feel. Just talk to him, don't let the man keep on living blind... BRIDGE All of this time that you're spending with me, You could be spending with him, making it right, And in your heart, you know what you have to do, And now it's all on you; go home tonight, And tell him that you love him, Tell him that you need him, Tell him everything that you feel, And tell him that your love is too real to let go... CHORUS Even though I'm not your man, and I don't live your life I understand that no man born can read your mind. If you want to work things out, then tell him how you feel. Just talk to him, don't let the man keep on living blind...

Reset It 04:02
VERSE: It seems Like everyone around me I see Is tryna be something they shouldn't be And I just can't help wondering why. Why Would you try to play like someone your not, When you can be loved for the person you are? I know you could if-you gave it a try. Now I understand The need to wanna be seen, And I understand What that desire may bring. But you got-ta Understand That in the grand scheme of things It's better to be the best you that you can be. CHORUS If think that fear controls you Don't let it, The feeling that you're not worth it Forget it, Be happy in your life Don't regret it, You control your design So it just might be time to reset it. VERSE: Can you Tell me honestly why you'd wanna change Just to fit someone's perception of thangs If it's something you can't see in your heart? B-SECTION Now I understand If you trying to find yourself, And I know it's easy To live like you're someone else. But if you play too long You'll end up hurting yourself; Give your own life a chance Cause you have a story to tell. CHORUS If think that fear controls you Don't let it, The feeling that you're not worth it Forget it, Be happy in your life Don't regret it, You control your design So it just might be time to reset it. BRIDGE: You can only be Who you've been made to be In the end All you're left with is you So do you Not him, or her, but you cause you deserve better than to live a lie. CHORUS If think that fear controls you Don't let it, The feeling that you're not worth it Forget it, Be happy in your life Don't regret it, You control your design So it just might be time to reset it.

VERSE Where do I start? What’s a good place to begin? The beginning seems like ages ago. Will this make sense? Can I be clear in my thoughts? And is it right to tell you all that I know? You know where we’ve been, You seen all the things I’ve seen So emotions before this shouldn’t get in the way. Where’s my confidence? Where’s the man I know I am? (I’ve) Got the mouth and the voice, but where’s the words I need to say? CHORUS I try To tell you how I feel, To give you what my heart has to offer And make it ring true, But why try To make a point that you Already seem to want to acknowledge But won't follow through? VERSE This has gone on Gone on for many a year A relationship that’s common, but wrong Thousands of words So many nights in your arms And each time it was a beautiful song But each and every time I find strength to speak my mind (And) try to show you that we could make this something so right You find some excuse Try to talk around the truth And we’re back where we started on that very first night CHORUS I try To tell you how I feel, To give you what my heart has to offer And make it ring true, But why try To make a point that you Already seem to want to acknowledge But won't follow through? BRIDGE These feelings run deeper than you or me; You know what we have and what we could be. But this always has been a two-way street, So walking away might be what I need (to do because)... CHORUS I try To tell you how I feel, To give you what my heart has to offer And make it ring true, But why try To make a point that you Already seem to want to acknowledge But won't follow through?

Here I Am 04:42
VERSE Donʼt have much in my wallet, and Iʼm so very far away from home. Too late to turn back now, that big airplane has already come and gone. Walking through this nowhere, searching for the place that I belong... Lost in all this nowhere, but itʼs okay cuzʼ I will get me home... CHORUS And here I am, in this place that they call California, And here I am, time to find the way on my own. And here I am, Here I Stand, Hereʼs the man that Iʼve become. VERSE Staring out the window, as the train slides through the rain & snow; One crusade behind me, another just outside the cabin doors... Who'd have thought Iʼd find the peace that Iʼd been looking for In a small and simple town, and two eyes my heart adores? CHORUS And here I am, in this place that they call California, And here I am, time to find the way on my own. And here I am, Here I Stand, Hereʼs the man that Iʼve become. VERSE Nice to meet you California, Iʼm off with my friends on the road, Off to new discoveries, giant leaps into the great unknown... You see sometimes, we all find That life wants to help set us free, So itʼs no crime to seek a guide In a friend when youʼre in need... CHORUS And here I am, God bless the place that they call California And here I am, on my own but I am not alone And here I am, Here I Stand, Hereʼs the man Iʼm proud to be

about

PMG and P. Murray are happy to finally present the last installment of the "First Draft" EP series. "First Draft: Second Edition" is the culmination of songs created within the last 24-36 months of P. Murray's career, used to help promote the PMG Brand and bring P.'s music to the world as an up-and-coming independent artist. It has been a long road to this point, but we are glad to have made it.

"Second Edition" presents P. Murray in a more introspective and personal light. Whereas the first EP was a successful collaborative venture, calling to task amazing writers & producers from around the world, these 6 songs have P. Murray as the majority creator, the two exceptions being "Talk to Him 2012" and "Here I Am," with production, music & lyrics coming from producer AR and singer/writer Malik respectively. Here is P. at his most vulnerable as he speaks on personal topics, including content that touches on his failed relationships. P. has also made a point of showing off more intricate & complex vocal arrangements, veering somewhat away from the more catch Pop harmonies and voicings.

Whatever the public opinion, PMG can assure you that "First Draft: Second Edition" is a work in which P. Murray takes great pride. We are confident, however, that you will thoroughly enjoy everything you hear. In his acceptance of his flaws & imperfections, P. has found solace in simply doing the work, making the music he loves to make. If for nothing else, this epiphany is one that is carried throughout P. Murray's music, and we have no doubt you will see that as well.
